This family reunion is monstrously fun, but things have not slowed down at all since everyone arrived. It’s usually totally clawesome having a huge pack around in the summer, as you can find someone who’s up for tossing around a ball or going for a run or even getting a pickup baseball game going. (Right now we have enough people in this house to field three whole teams!)

Trouble is, I don’t really have time to toss around a ball or go for a run. I’ve got hours of work to do… and I’m starting to miss my ghoulfriends! Family’s great, but I need to get in some time with my other pack soon too!

But every time I’ve tried to slip away this week to get some work done, someone’s grabbed me to ask questions about how school’s going, talk about sports, or ask me for advice on their wardrobe. I know it would be rude to walk away—and I could never do that to my pack—but sometimes that’s just what I want to do!

Yesterday, Cousin Clawdette bounced over and asked me when I’m going to be famous. She wants to see my name on a label inside her school sweaters so she can brag about me to her ghoulfriends. I know she means well, and it’s sweet that she’s so proud of me… but in the moment, I almost snapped and told her it wasn’t going to happen anytime soon, since I haven’t had more than a few minutes to work on my Freaky-Fabulous Fashion Show the whole time they’ve been staying with us. But luckily I didn’t say that. I managed to take a deep breath and keep my fur from flying. It wasn’t easy to hold my tongue.

My to-do list doesn’t look much better. Note for next show: Leave more time to get everything done!
